BARABOO – Dennis Otto Thurow handed absent instantly on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. He was born in Ramona, S.D., on July 23, 1938, to Vella (Piehl) and Erwin Thurow. On May perhaps 29, 1983, he married Mary Kathleen (Conway) at the Initial Presbyterian Church in Baraboo.

Dennis graduated from Madison Superior Faculty in Madison, S.D., as valedictorian and continued his education at Wartburg College or university, graduating with a degree in chemistry. Dennis honorably served his country in each the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Pressure during the Vietnam era and was a member of American Legion Put up 26 of Baraboo.

Dennis was a chemist at the University of Iowa Hospital and a brew chemist at Anheuser-Busch ahead of becoming a member of Olin Corporation’s Ammunition Division. A longtime staff of Olin, Dennis was instrumental in beginning up the St. Mark’s plant in Florida in advance of transferring to the Badger Military Ammunition plant where by he retired in 2003.

Eldon (Donna) Thurow nieces and nephews and his two Saint Bernards, Heidi and Wilhelm. Dennis was preceded in demise by his moms and dads sister-in-legislation, Lillian in-rules, Mary Elizabeth and Vaughn S. Conway and brother-in-law, Vaughn R. Conway.
